PLE carries out general planning for grid expansion connection EUGAL and FGL 20

In the course of the grid expansion ONTRAS is planning to construct a connection pipeline EUGAL with a total length of 1 km, DN 600, DP 100 bar from EUGAL near Lauchhammer to the hub Lauchhammer and on the other hand the construction of the gas pipeline FGL 20 with a total length of 35 km, DN 800, DP 84 bar from the hub Lauchhammer to the hub Spreetal. This project guarantees the longterm energy supply after the shut down of the remaining nuclear and coal-fired power plants, as renewable energies alone cannot guarantee a secure power supply around the clock. Therefore, new gas power plants, which can also be used for hydrogen, contribute to the energy transition. We are pleased that PLE is involved in this project, which is planned to be completed in 2027.
